FAQ's

What is Home Staging and why is it important?

Home staging involves preparing your home for sale by enhancing its appeal to potential buyers. It can help your home sell faster and often for a higher price by creating a welcoming and visually appealing environment.

Will Home Staging guarantee my home sells?

While Home Staging can’t guarantee a sale, it significantly increases your home’s attractiveness, leading to quicker sales and better offers in most cases.

Why should I pay for Home Staging if I can just do it myself?

  • As a homeowner, it’s hard to be objective about your space.     A professional Home Stager brings a fresh, unbiased perspective and knows how to highlight your home in a way that makes it feel inviting and neutral, allowing buyers to imagine themselves living there.
  • A certified, professional Home Stager is trained to know what appeals to buyers - from furniture placement to color schemes and decor choices. Their experience helps to showcase your home’s strengths and downplay any weaknesses, creating an environment that resonates with a broad range of potential buyers.

  • Preparing a home for sale can be overwhelming.               A professional Home Stager takes this burden off your shoulders, handling everything from decluttering to decor, ensuring your home is market-ready quickly, saving you time and effort.

How much does Home Staging cost?

Costs vary based on the size of your home, the type of staging and any additional rental needs. We offer customized packages to fit different budgets.

How do you handle budget constraints?

We work closely with our clients to stay within their budget while providing high-quality design solutions.

Do I need to make any repairs before Staging?

While we can work with most spaces, addressing minor repairs like paint touch-ups, fixing broken fixtures or cleaning can maximize staging effectiveness and buyer appeal.

Can I still live in my home while it’s Staged?

Yes! HOUSE of TIESSSIE specializes in Occupied Home Staging and our solutions are designed to be both practical and stylish, ensuring you can live comfortably while showing your home.

When to start the Home Staging Process and what is the Timeline for onsite Staging

We recommend contacting us at least 4 months before you plan to list your property on the market. This allows ample time for a consultation and thorough planning and preparation ahead of the onsite Staging phase.

Timeline for Staging
For most homes, the actual onsite staging phase typically takes 1–3 days, depending on the scope of work. However, for larger properties or projects requiring extensive preparation, additional time may be needed.

What happens after your home is sold?

For Occupied Staging, you simply resume normal use of your furniture and if we have added some in-house Rental Furniture and Accessories, HOUSE of TIESSIE will coordinate the removal thereof.

What happens to the rented Staged items if my home doesn’t sell right away?

For Occupied Home Staging, your own belongings remain in place. For Furniture and Accessory Rentals - items are typically available for an agreed rental period with extensions available, if needed.

Do you do Vacant Home Staging and what is the difference between Occupied Home Staging and Vacant Home staging?

  • Vacant Home Staging
At this time, we do not offer a Vacant Home Staging package. This type of staging involves fully furnishing an empty property with rented furniture and décor, which differs from our current service offerings.

  • Occupied Home Staging
Our focus is on enhancing your home’s appeal by primarily using your own Furniture and Accessories. If needed, we supplement with select HOUSE of TIESSIE in-house accessory rentals to achieve a polished, market-ready look.
