Home Staging "Lingo"

Understanding some Home Staging Terms is the Key to Transforming Your Space

  1. Estimate Meeting:  Schedule an onsite meeting with HOUSE of TIESSIE for an in-depth analysis and presentation of the associated cost for your Staging project. We utilize this appointment to discuss your goals, your property and its features, share any information about your  target market, the type of buyers you're trying to attract and your budget.

  1. Consultation Meeting: HOUSE of TIESSIE Staging professional will visit the property to assess its condition, layout and identify potential areas for improvement. We will note your existing furniture, décor and any necessary repairs or updates to provide you with a detailed 19-page Consultation Report.  If you book a Showcasing or Staging service during this meeting, we do not include the 19-page Consultation report and its cost will be discounted against the booked service.

  1. Consultation Report and Budget: HOUSE of TIESSIE will provide you with a detailed report after the Consultation meeting. The Consultation Report will outline our recommendations for Staging, including furniture, décor and any necessary repairs as well as  a Budget friendly Estimate for the entire Staging project.

  1. Decluttering and Cleaning: Before Staging begins, the property must be thoroughly decluttered and cleaned. This includes removing personal items, excess furniture and any unnecessary belongings.

  5. Repairs and Updates: The client is responsible for any necessary repairs or updates identified during the assessment, e.g. fixing              leaks, repainting walls or replacing broken fixtures.

  6. Furniture and Décor Selection: HOUSE of TIESSIE'S Staging professional will select furniture, décor items and accessories             that align with the design plan and create a cohesive look throughout the property. Furniture and or Accessory rentals or purchases               may be made based on availability and budget.

7Staging Implementation or Staging day:  The process or day dedicated to setting up and organizing a space—Home Staging.

Furniture, décor, and accessories will be strategically placed throughout the property according to the design plan. The goal is  to                   highlight the property's best features, improve natural flow and create an inviting, warm atmosphere for potential buyers.

  8.  Photography and Marketing: Once HOUSE of TIESSIE has completed the Home Staging process, your Real Estate agent’s               photographer takes professional photographs of the Staged property to create high-quality marketing materials for online listings,                 brochures and other promotional materials.

  9.  Property Viewing: The property is now ready for potential buyers to visit and view. Home Staging helps them to visualize the                    potential of the space and to form an emotional connection with the home.

  10. Staging Refresh or Concierge Service: Throughout the property's time on the market, your HOUSE of TIESSIE staging team          can deliver a Staging maintenance service to ensure the space continues to look its best.

  11. De-Staging: Once the property is sold, the HOUSE of TIESSIE Staging team will remove HOUSE of TIESSIE's                                        Rental Furniture  and Accessories from the property.
